Sugar Gliders are tiny marsupials that are native to New Guinea and Australia that live in colonies. Sugar Gliders use their gliding membrane that extends from their front wrist to their rear ankle to move from place to place. Full grown gliders are usually 5 inches in body length with a 6 inch furry tail. They weigh 4 to 5 ounces. Sugar Gliders are very social animals and are adverse to solitary confinement. Gliders love to ride around in their owner's pockets or pouch and bond easily with their owner provided that you spend time with them. If you feel you'll not be able to provide some "quality" time daily, we recommend you purchase a pair of gliders. Sugar Gliders require relatively low maintenance which makes them easy to care for. Gliders are nocturnal by nature and need to feel protected and safe during the day when they're asleep. Their cage should be large enough to allow plenty of room for them to play and exercise. Gliders eat fresh fruit and vegetables along with a high quality of dry glider food. Gliders DO NOT need vaccinations because they do not carry any diseases. Sugar Gliders make wonderful pets and can live for 12 years or longer if properly cared for. Our gliders come from a USDA licensed breeder.
